The Kensington Dialogue
An independent forum bringing Britain's and Germany's political and industrial leaders together to argue the relationship out in public and build it in private.
In July 2025, Britain and Germany signed the Kensington Treaty. It is the first bilateral friendship treaty between the two countries since the Second World War, agreed with war on the continent, an unpredictable Washington, and the E3 back at the centre of European security.
The German British Conference brings leaders from both countries to Oxford for three days: public panels where the hard questions get argued on the record, and private space, dinners and closed sessions, where partnerships form.
The German British Conference aims to be a cornerstone in putting the Kensington Treaty into practice.

The conference is organised in partnership with seven historic Oxford societies: the Oxford Law Society, Oxford Politics Society, Stubbs Society, The Oxford Guild, Oxford German Society, Oxford Europeanist Society, and Oxford Diplomatic Society. Together, these societies represent thousands of students across law, politics, international affairs, and European studies.
